The staff were friendly when I arrived and had already agreed to me checking in early so that I could go to work on time.
The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable.
Dislikes:
Their website says 24 hour reception so I did not expect to find reception closed when I was ready to leave about 7:45 next morning. I had to phone the hotel to ask how to check out.

The carpets had not been hovered and the bed sheets were dirty. We had rubbish still in the bins and on the table.
The mugs had clearly not been washed up.
On of the rooms was very cold and the food served up had to be re cooked. The rooms were never cleaned once during our 3 day Read less

There was a broken tv in one side of the room, presumably just for storage, we shared 1 towel because 1 of them had huge holes in. The accommodation entrance is outside in the street separate from the Crown & Anchor. Once the pub is closed there appears to be no one to contact when problems arise. We were woken by someone banging on the front door and shouting at 3.00am! Someone from an upstairs room let this person in, then there was lots of running up the stairs, shouting and screaming by a number of people that when on for an hour! woken again later after they had gone out and come back. It was very alarming. Read less

I m sorry you had a bad experience staying with us , for your info , there is a manager on duty on call 24 hours , there is a sign in hallway explaining that , Unfortunately when we happen to have a group of younger guests staying ( not normal) they do seem to have a different time zone to "normal" adult guests ! On this occassion Mr Browne the duty manager chastised this group at circa 325 am and they were dispatched to bed .Apologies again RB
